Introduction
Stylove (“Stylove,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Stylove mobile application and related services available at https://stylove.app (collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information when you use the Service.
By creating an account or using Stylove, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Stylove does not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated through your use of the Service, and limited technical information from your device. The categories below describe the main types of data we process.
Account Information
When you register or sign in, we may collect:
- Email address and authentication identifiers (including credentials from sign-in providers you choose to use).
- Profile details you choose to provide, such as name or username.
- Account preferences and language settings.
This information is used to create and secure your account, authenticate you, and provide customer support.
Wardrobe Photos and User Content
Stylove is built around your personal wardrobe. When you use the Service, you may upload or capture photographs of clothing and related items (“Wardrobe Photos”) and create outfit entries, saved looks, and other materials (“User Content”).
Your wardrobe photos may be processed to provide the Service, including storage, display in your private wardrobe, outfit composition, and styling recommendations tailored to items you have added. We treat wardrobe photos as personal data and apply access controls designed to keep your content associated with your account.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload User Content and that it does not infringe the rights of others or violate applicable law.
Style Preferences and Usage Information
We may collect information about how you interact with Stylove, including:
- Style moods, occasions, and preferences you select.
- Outfit generation history, saved looks, and in-app interactions.
- Approximate location and weather-related context, if you grant location permission, to suggest looks suited to your environment.
- Device type, operating system, app version, language, and diagnostic logs.
- Product analytics events that help us understand feature usage and improve performance.
Subscription Information
If you subscribe to Stylove Premium, we receive subscription status and entitlement information from Apple and our subscription management provider. We do not receive or store your full payment card number. This information is used to grant access to premium features and to respond to billing-related support requests.
How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Build and manage your wardrobe and deliver personalised styling recommendations.
- Process subscriptions and verify premium access.
- Monitor reliability, fix errors, and protect against abuse or fraud.
- Communicate with you about the Service, including support responses.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We process information only where we have a lawful basis to do so, such as performance of our contract with you, legitimate interests in operating and improving Stylove, or compliance with law.
Data Storage and Security
We store data using industry-standard cloud infrastructure with access controls, encryption in transit, and organisational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data we hold. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal requirements. When data is no longer required, we take steps to delete or anonymise it in accordance with our retention practices.
Third-Party Services
We rely on carefully selected service providers to operate Stylove. These providers process data on our behalf under contractual obligations and only for the purposes described in this policy. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of these providers.
Supabase
We use Supabase for authentication, database services, and secure storage of account and wardrobe data. Information processed through Supabase is subject to Supabase’s security practices and privacy policy.
OpenAI
We use OpenAI to process certain styling-related requests, such as generating outfit suggestions and related descriptive content based on wardrobe items and preferences you provide. Data sent to OpenAI is limited to what is necessary to deliver those features and is handled in accordance with OpenAI’s terms and data policies applicable to our use of their services.
RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions and verify premium entitlements. RevenueCat may receive identifiers linked to your account and subscription status. Payment processing itself is handled by Apple.
Sentry
We use Sentry for error monitoring and diagnostic reporting. Sentry may receive technical information such as crash logs, device metadata, and contextual data needed to investigate issues. We configure these tools to minimise unnecessary personal data where practicable.
User Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, which may include the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
You may update certain profile information directly in the app. You may also contact us to exercise your rights. We will respond to verified requests in accordance with applicable law.
You may submit a data deletion request at any time by contacting support@stylove.app. We will process legitimate requests within a reasonable timeframe.
Account Deletion
You may delete your Stylove account through in-app account settings where available, or by contacting us at support@stylove.app. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise personal information associated with your account, except where retention is required by law, for fraud prevention, or to resolve outstanding support or billing matters.
Deleting your account may not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription. You must manage subscriptions through your Apple Account Settings.
Children’s Privacy
Stylove is not directed to children under 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete such information.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or the Service. When we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
